Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto

Mart is the centre of modern and contemporary art in Italy, it puts on large thematic exhibitions, the results of years of research, national and international temporary exhibitions and artistic programmes on twentieth century art periodically reconceived and renewed making use of its collections.

Mart Digital

Among the first museums to invest in digital communication and the first in Italy to collaborate with Wikimedia Foundation, Mart is one of the most active partners of Google Arts & Culture, and has always been committed to producing and spreading quality content on its web channels and through innovation projects. This is the case of MartMuseumBot, the guide that allows you to explore the museum from home via Messenger and Telegram, and Mart’s Alexa skill. A storytelling with historical and artistic curiosities on the Collections’ masterpieces and the precious documents kept in the Archive of the 19th Century.

Martmuseumbot

Martmuseumbot is an innovative guided tour based on the use of apps, such as Telegram and Facebook Messenger. Loaded with information, suggestions and curiosities, this interactive digital guide accompanies visitors both inside and outside the museum, sharing their discovery of the architecture, the permanent Collections and temporary exhibitions. Thanks to the informal communication style, visitors to the Mart establish a direct relationship with the museum through a dialogue that makes it possible to personalize their own exploration of the spaces and exhibitions.

Alexa

Mart entices the audience from home with a digital storytelling available on Alexa, Amazon’s voice assistant. It offers contents related to the museum and its heritage. The narration format is short stories or “pills” that reveal little-known facts concerning the museum’s architecture, the pieces of the Collections and archive documents that visitors cannot always consult. Through voice recognition and vocal synthesis it will be possible to listen to the many stories of the Mart, before or after the visit to the museum, starting or ending the day with a historical and artistic curiosity designed for all those who want to learn more, from art lovers to non-professionals. Accessing content is simple! Just ask: “Alexa, open Mart Rovereto“.
