Ronzo-Chienis is located in Val di Gresta, a few kilometers from Rovereto on the road to Lake Garda. Why visit? The climate is cool, thanks to the lake breezes, and the pace of the farmers lovingly cultivating the terraced fields with the characteristic dry stone walls.

Starting from the various villages, in the summer you can go on pleasant excursions on foot, horseback or by bike toward Passo Bordala on dirt trails. A moonlit snowshoe walk in winter is a truly unforgettable experience. What about the thrill of seeing Trentino from above? Try out the rock climbing gyms, paragliding and hang-gliding schools.

The trenches of Nagià Grom, Monti Biaena and Creino are a reminder that the frontline of the Great War was located here. Cross them and gaze upon magnificent vistas that will open in front of your eyes.

From Loppio (220 mamsl) go up to Monte Stivo (2,050 mamsl) with magnificent vistas over lake Garda! Near Ronzo-Chienis we find the ruins of Castel di Gresta, Castel Castil, Castel Frassen, medieval churches and the village of Corniano all bear witness to its eventful past.

In the summer you can participate in the “Camminagrestana”, a tasting marathon with a special ticket for families. Stock up on organic products the whole year long at the Fruit and Vegetable Consortium and in the autumn at the “Mostra Mercato della Val di Gresta”.
