A great number of huge rocks scattered at the bottom of the famous Montalbano via ferrata (one of the most challenging fixed rope route in the entire Alpine area), with easy/medium itineraries for beginners and difficult/extreme itineraries for adventurers.

Dantesque Boulder Park (Rovereto)

We are in the Lavini di Marco area, a stone’s throw away from the so-called “ruina dantesca”, the great landslide that Dante mentioned in the Divine Comedy (XII Canto Inferno, vv. 4-9).

In this area of more than 35 hectares, rocks detached from the side of Mount Zugna and fell to the valley, diverting the course of the Adige River in prehistoric times. in this wild corner of Trentino, you can also admire true dinosaur footprints.

The Dantesque Boulder Park combines history, geography, literature and the outdoors: a route between Hell, Purgatory and Paradise that will give you a unique adventure! The boulders are identified as follows, following the altimetry criterion: the lowest are those of Hell, going up you reach those of Purgatory and, finally, those of Paradise (respecting also the order of the Canti). Where possible, the characteristics of the boulders match a passage of the Comedy.

Difficulty: from 5+ to  7C
