Cross-country skiing

Night skiing, biathlon and school camp on Monte Baldo

At the San Giacomo Cross-Country Ski Centre you will find five trails of varying difficulty, from the easy beginner’s loop to the competitive trails. Slopes illuminated at night on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 09/01 also on Wednesdays.

The San Giacomo Cross-country Ski Centre is a sunny area with tracks on wide meadows ideal for families with children and for first steps in the snow. There are five trails of varying difficulty open to all cross-country skiers:

  • A school slope with an easy running (blue) loop 500 m long and suitable for beginners
  • The Augusto Girardelli Slope  (1.5 km) with an easy running track (blue), which runs through the meadows of the San Giacomo plain on flat terrain with slight inclines
  • The San Giacomo Slope (3 km) with a ‘medium difficulty’ track (red) and a slope not exceeding 15%, the slope is illuminated for evening skiing
  • The Silvio Mozzi Slope (6 km) with a ‘difficult’ (black) track in continuation of the ‘San Giacomo’ slope, runs along the lower areas to the east and south of the village. The more difficult sections are signposted and protected
  • The Mortigola Slope (2 km) with a track classified as ‘medium difficulty’ (red), which also includes the Malga Mortigola area. Access to this loop is possible directly from Malga Mortigola or in continuation of the ‘Silvio Mozzi’ slope by crossing provincial road no. 3, where it is necessary to remove skis and cross on foot.

There are connecting tracks along the various routes of equal difficulty, equipped with suitable impact protection systems and signs indicating, in addition to the direction of travel, detours, missing kilometres, hazards and the most difficult sections.
The slopes are open from December 17th 2022 until March 31st 2023, from 09.00 to 16.30. For opening info: info@gsbrentonico.org. Discover the daily and season pass rates!

Night skiing

At the Centro Fondo San Giacomo experience the pleasure of night skiing on illuminated slopes!

During the Christmas holidays, until January 8th, on Tuesdays and Fridays the slopes will be open until 7.30 pm.
After January 9th, the slopes will also be open on Wednesdays until 8 p.m.

Biathlon

If you are an enthusiast, you can practice the biathlon, which combines two sports: Nordic skiing and precision shooting. A small polygon for air rifles (shooting from 10 metres on 5 cm targets) has been set up, which can be used by everyone without any specific permit.

During the winter season, the San Giacomo Multipurpose Centre is opened directly on the cross-country skiing track, with toilets, showers and changing rooms.
