Monte Zugna and the Carega Group on the paths of the Great War

Round trip with departure from Pian delle Fugazze and overnight stop at Rifugio Coni Zugna

A 30 km long tour, suitable for all walkers who want to fully explore the history and nature of the area.

Walk the paths of the Great War, in the footsteps of the soldiers who made Italian history.

A long but not too demanding hike that will take you across an adrenaline-filled Tibetan bridge, cross green meadows in unspoilt valleys, skirt high peaks and rocky summits, encountering bivouacs and stops along the way, and then spend the night at the end of the day at the Coni Zugna Refuge, enjoying local specialities, admiring vast panoramas and starry skies (through the nearby astronomical observatory), and listening to distant tales of the strong legacy of the Great War.

The next day’s return trip can follow the same direction, varying some passages or going along other mountain paths that will lead to the city of Rovereto.

This is an intense experience that will immerse the walker in nature and history for two whole days and allow him to enjoy the taste of tradition and the art of hospitality of the Rifugio Zugna.

Attention! in view of the length of the route and the physical commitment, it is recommended to prepare the hike before setting off:
