Alfio Ghezzi Bistrot and “Senso” Restaurant

A cultural project where the great pillars of Italian tradition meet: cuisine, art and design. Simple breakfasts, fast or typical lunches of Trentino cuisine and gourmet dinners for a select number of costumers.

The new Mart Cafè and Restaurant is an homage to Italian food tradition, placed in the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art  projected by the renowned architect Mario Botta.

Cuisine and art are reunited in a concept of total beauty as the location shows: a room that honours the design with a careful attention to details and colours. The cuisine is Italian with a particular focus on Trentino region, inspired by the museum’s collections and that aims to celebrate the authenticity of local and seasonal ingredients.

During the day, it is a bistrot where typical dishes of Trentino tradition are served, such as trout, canederli, polenta with rabbit, apple pie or the Italian classics, such as vitel tonné, pot roast and bunet. The fast-break lovers can choose among a wide variety of pizzas, salty snacks and cakes.

During the evening, the atmosphere becomes elegant and the location turns into in a refined dining with a of degustation menu served at a maximum number of 25 people. Four or six fixed-courses plus an optional second course, where the territory is the main protagonist: char with celery and radish, carrots of Gresta Valley, bitter buttered ravioli and mountain saffron. To combine with wines of small local wineries, handcrafted beers, mixed juices and smoothies. A particular attention is paid to coffee, a personal blend created in collaboration with Illy, extracted with different methods (kemex, V60, french press; by night the scenographic coffee maker and manual lever).
