Maso Salengo Winery

A small family-run company that has decided to personally follow its wines in all stages of production, from the cultivation of the vineyard to the sale of the single bottle.

The wine-making tradition of the Raffaelli family, owner of the winery, dates back to the beginning of the last century when grandfather Giuseppe began the production of Marzemino wine.

Anchored in the municipality of Volano and its wine-growing area, the company grows its grapes in the best vineyards: on the hills the white and aromatic vines to enhance their aromatic characteristics and freshness, on the alluvial terraces the red wines with character such as Merlot, Cabernet and Rebo, and in the highly suited Ziresi area, Marzemino, whose deep and tenacious clayey soil gives this wine a highly qualitative character.

The experience gained over the years and the love for their land has convinced the Raffaelli family of the importance of looking after the production in the vineyard and waiting for full ripeness to start the harvest. The winemaking aims and is limited to preserving and enhancing the prerogatives of the grapes and bottling takes place cold in order not to alter the quality of the wine. Finally, a few months of rest in the bottle, precede the sale of the company’s wines.
